Young Light
young's double slit experiment question- two light sources to be seen?
why must two light sources in young's double slit experiment be coherent sources for interference to be seen?
the two light sources in youngs double slit experiment must be coherent in order to create right dark and light bands after at equal distances. if a non coherent light sources are used the pattern of light and drak bands will not be formed as desired and the calculations will be difficult. it is also likely that for noncoherent lights are used no interference patters might be seen.
