Tint Spring
Truck has smear to the glass and body.?
I have a Fire Engine Red 2005 Toyota Tacoma truck. Earlier this spring I started to water my new grass using a "ground water point". Last week I started to notice a purple/violet smear or tint to the body paint. I also noticed streaks on the windshield and pass. window. No matter how hard I scrub with Windex on the glass they will not come out. It looks like soap spots. The wind blew some water on my truck for a few hours during the night. I tried hot water/white vineger/and a little Ajax cleanser. It did nothing. I tried windex on the glass and it did nothing. I know that ground water stains sidewalks brown from the minerals and can harsh. Anyone have any ideas how to get this off my truck? Thanks
For the glass try a product called Bon-Ami.(Ajax may further damage your glass)This is a household powdered cleaner that has a mild abrasive,and it will not damage your glass but will get off stubborn stains or mild hazing.For the body I would first try some Maguire's tech wax. If that fails,try a polishing compound but be careful.
