Reading Glasses
Why can I wear reading glasses as if they were regular glasses?
I am farsighted. When my glasses break or somehow become unwearable I can just throw a pair of reading glasses on and they work perfectly fine. So why is this?
This is how it works, farsighted people need a plus Lens to see far and close, presbyopic people need a plus lens for reading, so you are wearing a plus lens for distance vision but your prescription is like a reading glasses prescription, it magnifies things up so when you wear a reading plus lens that old aged people wear for reading, it is magnified for you to see in the distance and close up to suit your eyes.
Presbyopic means when people get over 40 an can't see from close up anymore.
The name of the condition is actually presbyopia.
