Wedding colors: Red and Black???
I really like the idea of the colors red, black and white for my September wedding. I've read in a couple places that these colors would look great for a goth-themed wedding. I DON'T want people at my wedding to think we were going for a goth-themed wedding. Do you think these colors are elegant enough to use for an elegant wedding, or are they too bold and dramatic to the point where people will think it's a goth theme?

Black being incorporated into weddings is becoming very common these days. I think you could certainly pull it off without making it goth-like. You could have a black sash on your dress if you'd like, and if not it would be nice for the bridesmaids dresses. I think black table cloths with white place mats or runners (whichever you plan on using) with a beautiful centerpiece of something red & white or simply one of the colors alone would be very romantic for the reception. Even the cake could be elegant with those colors. With the three colors you have a lot of options and I think once it comes together, your wedding will be spectacular
