Sophisticated Sharp
Panasonic v Ricoh Digital Camera?
I am trying to decide between the following compact digital camera models:
Ricoh R8
Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX37
Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX500
I am not a sophisticated camera user, I just need it for normal use. But I would like to be able to easily take sharp pictures and especially, good indoor pictures (preferably without flash) without messing too much with settings. I'm having a hard time even being able to tell the differences between these cameras.
No little P&S camera will miraculously let you take good photos in low light situations.
There is a good reason why professionals lug around big equipment with BIG, fast lenses and/or all sorts of lights.
Most little P&Ss are very similar, the biggest difference you can make to your photos is to learn about photography.
Borrow a bunch of books, read/watch online tutorials and learn how to deal with your camera's limitations.
