Do reading glasses reduce the light entering the eye?
I suffer from photophobia, which means that my eyes are sensitive to light. I need to wear sunglasses indoors, but I am perceived as anti-social ... or people think I'm on drugs. I noticed that my reading glasses actually reduce the amount glare from my computer ... I am buying non-powered lenses to wear inside.
All glasses will block light, but usually only a very small imperceptible amount. You can try a slight tint of your glasses, which could help (and certainly is not ordinary glasses, but if you really photophobic eyeglasses should not be enough), but would not be as extreme as sunglasses.
