Psalm 25:4-5 (New International Version, ©2011)
4 Show me your ways, LORD,
teach me your paths.
5 Guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my Savior,
and my hope is in you all day long.
Well, that verse is pretty self-explanatory, so there's really no point in having your students twist it around, or having them replace it with their own traditions. And I say that not out of verbal chastisement, but out of deep respect for God's word. As we're not to add doctrine, twist doctrine, or remove doctrine. Revelation 22:18-19. Maybe ask them how Psalm 25:4-5 applies to their life, instead of twisting it until it does.
