Polarized Reading
When was the last time an election has been this polarized?
Even the midterm election of 2006 wasn't this bad. Nor for that matter was the presidential election of 2004, as I remember. I have read that the 1968 election was, quite literally, a riot. Is that the last time things were this heated?
I think this is a fascinating election, and good for the political health of this country. I think that there is, at the present time, less potential for rioting than there was in 1968.
But it's a long time until the votes are cast and the next U.S. president is elected.
