Guernica by Pablo Picasso?
Im doing a a research paper for my art class and i decided to do it in this painting. I would like to know what people suggest and think about the colors and the figures and how they are placed.
Oh by the way i want to know what colors picasso used. Ive read articles say that he used blue, black and white and there are other articles were they say that he used black and grey only. Can someone tell me for sure which colors picasso used. thnx

(black in the background). The reasons weretwofold: he wanted to stress the somber and serious character of his subject; and, the first pictures and newspaper reports that he saw in Paris describing the events were in black and white, this stayed in his memory.

One important point is that there is no central focus of interest in this picture to which the eye is drawn, as there are in most pictures which shows a scene. Each figure (men, women, the horse, the bull etc) are given equal importance.
