Why does my cat scratch metal INSEAD clothing or furniture?
I have a cat, Kai, who is almost 3 months, and it does not use the scratching. I thought maybe it was because he did not use it from the smell of my other cat. I then I bought his, and he still is scratching on a metallic object, as I have central air, and he loves to zero over the vents to that, I do not like not to because im afraid it will hurt his claws, it is still a baby. Is this something I need to take to vet and see if there is something wrong with his claws? Perhaps because the scratching post is not strong enough?
I doubt that something goes with him, it's just a texture they prefer. Try different types of scratching posts. Some cats like carpet, some, such as sisal rope, some, such as cardboard, certain items such as carpets and others like scratching. You finally find the woman he loves!
