Best time of day to wash a gloss black car?
Hi guys, I j ust bought a gloss black nissan 350z and I am wondering what you guys would use to wash it and shine it up tires/paint/interior etc. and also what time of day you'd do this. I have heard to do it in the morning or as the sun is going down, but I am not sure which is true. Thanks a lot guys!!!
The most important thing is to do it in the shade, especially if you are planning on waxing it. The surface should be clean and cool to the touch. Never wax a car in the direct sun. As far as washing, I go to a do-it-yourself car wash place for the washing, then hand dry it and drive home to wax it. I like Zymol wax, also Meguiar's and Mother's, but there are a lot of good ones out there and everyone has a favorite. If the paint has nice gloss already, then you really don't need a polish, just a good quality carnauba wax. I suggest going to someplace like auto zone and see what they have to offer...go with something that's safe for clear coat finishes. Can't beat Armor All on the interior; just make sure you don't get any on the pedals or steering wheel. I use Eagle One "Wet" or Armor All on my tires, but again, there are a lot of good quality tire shine products out there, in varying degrees of shine. Hope this helped.
