Glasses Tortoise
How to get my tortoise to stop running into the glass?
I have a russian Tortiose she is only about a month or so old and she continues to try and climb out of her terrarium or dig to the bottom and continure to sit in the same spot and dig so i was wondering if there was a way to get her to stop or anything i could do.....
tortoises do not see glass like we do, you could try getting the plant backgrounds and covering 3 sides so it can see there is an obstacle there, the best housing for a Russian is a tortoise table rather than a tank there is more air flow on a table and Russian tortoises do not do well in tanks or vivariums it can get too damp and they need a fairly dry environment, but you can not really stop this behavior you could also try putting a band from the bottom of the glass about 2 inches up so she can see there is something in her way best of luck honey
