Foster Hard Case
Orange County Court system is failing my adopted daughter - HELP PLEASE!?
I am the de facto parent of an adopted child (8 years) in Orange County, California. The child was removed from his parents at 3 / 04. Since 4.7, it was with us with 2x Mon visits with mom was not available to family reunification. The father was in jail for 18 months w / no visits the child has not want to see. Both parents (separately) are fighting hard to get her back. Long story / short, she does not want to go back to one of them. She would stay w / us with cont. visits w / Mom. She says she never wants to see his dad ever. His hearing dates are rescheduled regularly. It's just in the system waiting for his case be large enough to be heard. We have no idea where it it will end when all this is done. She is very strong, but declining rapidly and loses its ability to trust anyone. We do not know where to start, even arguing for it in the courts, but feel we need - the system is its failure terribly! Any advice is greatly appreciated. A big thank you!
