Which cargo pocket do serviceman put their covers in?
Which cargo pocket on the trouser do marine, soldier, airmen, and seamen put their covers in when they enter a building? I was told by a marine it was the right and I always thought it was the left.
As a soldier, I use my right. I'm right handed, and I'm more practiced donning my beret single handedly with my right (if I had to only use one hand). It's all futzed up if I use my left. I tend to observe it is based on hand dominance. In basic training my platoon was told to use our right pocket though I don't believe it was a particular standard.
Marines by my observation don't put it in their pockets, and Navy seems to tuck it into their belt or behind them.
Never really observe what Air Force does.
