What kind of equipment is the shiny black plastic?
I http://www.archdaily.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/04/673385061_27-copy.jpg love this room design, with white balls and black plastic, but I'm not sure what type of material it is. Does anyone know what it is, and perhaps where I could get hold of some the size large enough to cover a wall? Is there an alternative to plastic? Im assuming smoked glass can be quite expensive?
This partition is not plastic. It is three sheets of smoked glass. Access your phone book Local and see "Suppliers of glass and mirror" for ordering information. When ordering there, you'll probably avoid delivery expensive costs. EDIT: your question may be additional details about the search for a plastic substitute for glass. Hmmm. As a decorator Interior, I do not know of other than plastic sheeting plexiglass. It could also be an element of cost. You may want to consider a metallic paint. Go to your local paint shop (not home improvement) and they can propose a reflective paint to you. Or, do a search on the Internet. Metallic paint can be a little per gallon, but no where near the cost of smoked glass or Plexiglas. Good chance.
