Bifocal Reading Sunglasses
Recommendations, please, regarding ordering eyeglasses on-line?
I need 2 pair, fashion not a consideration, least expensive as possible:
1. no line/progressive/bifocal for distance & reading
2. distance only sunglasses
bewildered/overwhelmed by physical optical shops
unsure re ordering on-line
I want to be able to order right size, shape for my head, scratch resistant, whatever
I've recently discovered a couple on-line ordering sites, realizing a bunch more. Prices seem very reasonable compared to physical optical stores.
Recommendations? Things to look out for? Is BBB enough to trust a particular vendor? (I do not want to find myself shelling out money for, metaphorically, a bridge in Brooklyn.)

In short, don't do it. At least don't order the progressives online. A great deal of how well they work will depend on how high in the frame the progression starts. someone with some experience needs to measure this with the frame you will be wearing on your face. Progressive lenses have been evolving for the last 30 years. New designs work better than old designs. Old designs are available at bargain prices. Find an optical shop or optometry office that will take the time to explain your options and get your glasses there.
