Bifocal Black
Anyone else see a shadow above lettering when they read?
I see a ghost image of the words I am reading, directly above the text, in gray (if the text is black). This is lessened if I wear readers. Went to Lencrafters, and they recommended TRIFOCALS!!
I don't see ANYTHING blurry, like an out of focus camera. Just the ghost image. I can see to walk around the mall or my house just fine, I just cant read because the extra line of text that I see clouds out the actual text.
My husband was more upset than I was. (He had worn glasses all his life (bifocals) and said to put TRIFOCALS on someone who never had glasses in their life would be cruel and unusual punishment.......
anyone else see this way?
If Lenscrafters also examined your eyes and wrote the eye glass prescription, you might want to have your eyes examined by an optometrist that does not work for Lenscrafters. If the prescription is the same as Lenscrafter, meaning you actually do have problems seeing near and far objects and they are either putting in clear glass for objects in between or the third level is for the computer, your only other option is to purchase two or three pairs of glasses. If you do not drive, you can start with reading glasses. If you do drive you will need glasses for both distance (driving) and for reading. I never could adapt to bifocals, so I have two pair of prescription eye glasses, one for reading and the other for distance. I would only recommend drug store reading glasses if your near visual acuity is the same in both eyes.
